For nearly 50 years, Ring Pop has been making childhood memories one candy-coated “gem” at a time. Now the iconic wearable treat is growing up with the launch of its first-ever Wedding Collection, created in collaboration with celebrity wedding and event planner Mindy Weiss.
Launched September 15, the new collection gives the familiar candy ring an elegant bridal makeover. The jewel-inspired pops are set on sleek pearl-white bands and arrive in sophisticated ivory-and-gold packaging designed to look right at home alongside wedding stationery, favors and décor.
The collection features three lighter-toned versions of Ring Pop’s best-selling flavors: “First Kiss” Watermelon, “Main Squeeze” Citrus and “Berry in Love” Strawberry. The softer hues aren't just a style choice. They are designed to be camera-friendly, with lighter candy colors that won't leave stains on teeth — an especially welcome detail when every smile may end up in a wedding photo.
Adding another layer of personality, each individually wrapped Ring Pop features an occasion-ready message, including “Love Is Sweet,” “Off the Market,” “Pop the Question,” “I’m Yours,” “Love Story,” “Ring it On” and “I Said Yes.”
The idea is to make the candy part of the entire wedding journey, not just the big day. The Wedding Collection can turn up at engagement parties and bridal showers, bachelorette weekends, wedding welcome bags, dessert tables and reception favor displays — or serve as a playful recovery-kit treat the morning after.
With more than 30 years of experience planning high-profile events, Weiss has established herself as one of the most recognizable names in celebrity weddings and celebrations. Her A-list clients have included Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Heidi Klum, the Kardashian-Jenner family, and Justin and Hailey Bieber. She is also the bestselling author of The Wedding Book.
“Ring Pop already had that magic,” Weiss said in the launch announcement. “My job was simply to give it the packaging, the polish and the occasions it deserved.”
The collaboration may seem like a natural evolution for a candy that has long been associated with romance. Introduced in 1977, Ring Pop was created as a way to turn a lollipop into a wearable piece of candy. Its gem-shaped design, colorful appearance and novelty ring band soon transformed it from a simple sweet into a cultural icon, appearing at birthday parties, concerts and celebrations of all kinds.
Over the years, couples have also embraced Ring Pop for proposals, bridal showers and other wedding festivities on their own. The new collection simply makes that connection official — and gives the nostalgic candy a decidedly more polished place in the jewelry-inspired world of weddings.
The Ring Pop Wedding Collection is available through David’s Bridal and online retailers including Amazon, with a broader nationwide retail rollout planned for early 2027.
